Finishes

All our joinery is fully factory finished in-house. We offer a full range of colours, with the European NCS and RAL range as standard. Local colours from Dulux, Wattyl, Resene, Colorbond can be colour matched.

Translucent stained coatings and hand distressed finishes are also an option.

We also use plant based oil coatings, applied by hand for a natural timber effect.

Accelerated weathering finishing for tannin removal of external timbers  is also and option.  We use specialist silica systems from Sioo:X  to accelerate to an even greyed natural finish,  whilst providing long term protection.  We now have coloured options with this system technology.

Timbers can also be hand scraped, wire brushed, nylon brushed, bandsawn, rough sawn, or carefully charred (Shou Sugi Ban) by request, prior to coating.

Any of these coatings, colour effects or finishing techniques can be applied in a variety of ways externally or internally.  As each project is unique, we work through the details, and advise the most appropriate approach to achieve the desired effects.

Where possible, we match adjacent timber cladding and finishes, to integrate our glazed elements.
